Repentance means changing one’s mind

Repentance means changing one’s mind, so that one’s views, values, goals, and ways are changed, and one’s whole life is lived differently. The call to repent was part of Jesus’ summary of the gospel that was to be taken to the entire world (Luke 24:47). Repentance is always set forth as the path to remission of sins and restoration to God’s favor, while impenitence is the road to ruin (Luke 13:1-8). The idea that there can be saving faith without repentance, and that one can be justified by embracing Christ as Savior while refusing Him as Lord, is a dangerous error. True faith acknowledges Christ as what He is, our God-appointed king as well as our Savior

ACTS CHAPTER 20

VERSES 20-21

(PAUL SPEAKING) [20] And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shown you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, [21] Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV)

Repent from your ways of this world because if you do not and do nothing your judgment will come and you will not know until it has come. For God is alive and if you do not repent of your sin you will be in the never ending burning fire with Satan. For Satan was the one that enticed Eve to eat of the tree of knowledge. Do you want to be left behind when God comes back to take us to heaven? Repent of your ways and become one of Gods children. For Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead the third day to save us from eternal death. Jesus was a person that lived over 2,000 years ago and died on the cross for our sin. The definition of death is the separation of body and soul. When Jesus died on the cross the separation come and the body of Jesus is still Jesus and lives with God in heaven. The soul of Jesus is now the Holy Ghost that lives within us. Once we get saved the Holy Ghost lives within us. The Holy Ghost is our helper and will guide us and change us from within. Our outlook on life will change over time. Do you want to be left behind when Jesus comes back to get us and take us to our home in heaven or are you going to be left behind to live out eternity with Satan and his followers. The time has come to repentance and are you going to spend the rest of eternity in smoking or non-smoking that rest is up to you. MJR
